Contributing to a clean and healthy communities

Plumtrade is a strong advocate and supporter of helping local communities become self -sustainable and self-sufficient.

One such project was the Laukanu Sanitation Program involving a collaboration of villagers and graduate design and development students from Australian Universities and the Papua New Guinea University of technology. Taking 2 months to complete, the project involved over 100 individuals from multiple clans who contributed in the design and constructions of pit toilets in the seaside community of Laukanu in the Morobe coast. Having ties to the community, Plumtrade PNG was more than happy to offer support and was very proud of the had been achieved.

“Having supported the project through funding and resources, and seeing firsthand how it has greatly changed the lives of the coastal Morobe community gives us great satisfaction in continuing to support project of this nature”.
